Our worship choir serves as the "backbone" for the music in the church's traditional service. The worship choir leads music at both 8:30 and 11 am services, and other special services. The passionate, dedicated singers in the group function as worship leaders for the congregation, leading hymns, presenting anthems and providing other music for the service. Our weekly Wednesday evening practice usually consists of familiar hymn arrangements, spirituals, and other choral classics that we sing in worship. This group does not require auditions, although having musical skills is a great bonus! New members are always welcome! 

The festival choir is an extension of the worship choir, preparing two to three annual events designed not only for the church, but also as a way to reach and inspire the wider community. Our repertoire ranges from carols and hymns to major sacred choral works. For those larger works, we often invite guests soloists, renowned organists, and professional chamber orchestras to enhance our shared musical experience. We have intentionally structured this choir as a short-term commitment, allowing singers from both inside and outside the congregation to join for a season without the obligation of traditional weekly worship services. Just like with worship choir, we don't require an audition to get into the ensemble; however, we encourage members to hold a brief interview with the director to find out where they fit best within the group. We are excited to share that our Organ Committee is continuing to make progress towards the Once a Century Organ Project! Although we currently don't have a music director, with help from Michael, the committee has made strides in getting funds through grants to make this idea a reality!

Our primary goal is to enhance worship, but we also envision serving the Western Slope and the entire Western Colorado region by hosting concerts and events that inspire and uplift. This ambitious project is expected to take up to five years, with multiple stages, including the meticulous process of selecting an organ builder and the long build phase that follows. We look forward to this journey and invite you to stay engaged as we bring this vision to life!
