Give to First Pres

As God has given us everything we need - including His One and Only Son - we are invited to return a portion of what He has provided so that others can also know His generous love.  We want each person's giving to be rooted in gratitude and not a result of guilt or pressure.  We also want people to know their giving is confidential.

One of the many passages in the Bible that helps us think about giving is: "For you know the generous act of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, so that by His poverty you might become rich." (2 Corinthians 8:9)  FPC seeks to be as generous as possible because we serve a VERY GENEROUS GOD.

You can give your gift safely and securely online. This is one of the easiest ways to give to our church, but some choose to give in-person, via mail or electronic funds transfer.

Giving Locally.

First Pres believes in creating opportunities to serve and bless our local Grand Valley community. We take seriously God's call to be good neighbors; and we love our neighbors.  Besides our financial support of numerous local ministries and organizations, we give of our time, talents, leadership, prayer and passions throughout our community.

We have specific ministries we support, as well as our own initiatives we support with mission and outreach funds. If you would like to have a list of these specific ministries and organizations so you can know exactly where your contributions are going to, please feel free to click the link below and request this list.

Giving Globally.

This is a big world.  And our big God commanded us to branch out as His representatives.  We're also part of a big global Church and are grateful for the chance to support Christ's Kingdom endeavors financially, through prayer, and in hands-on ways.  We are honored to partner with global ministries, support missionaries God has connected us with over the years, and serve personally throughout our country and world.  As you see in this picture, the Amani Baby Cottage in Jinja, Uganda is a very special place for our church.

CAPITAL CAMPAIGN 2022-2025

The following collection of stories was used in our most recent (Fall 2021) Capital Campaign events.  Our goal for the campaign was to eliminate our remaining debt – from our 2015 addition – by the end of 2025.  By God's grace and provision, the debt was paid off early in March 2023. For any in the congregation who wish to keep giving planned over-and-above gifts to our "former Capital Campaign", Session has recommended four areas of giving: (1) Mission and Outreach, (2) Children and Youth Ministries, (3) Facilities Related Needs; and (4) the Organ Fund.
