The Christ Center was established in 2004 as a not-for-profit corporation. Their goal was to become an inter-denominational Christian ministry committed to taking the gospel of Jesus Christ to college students and discipling them to spiritual maturity. The current facility was built in 2008 and includes Four Winds Coffee & Tea, study and meeting rooms, and a prayer room. They provide a place for CMU students and community members to meet, spend time together, and enjoy some delicious food. First Pres has been part of The Christ Center since it started in a small house in 2004.
