Jason Emberger
Assistant Pastor of Student Ministries

I am a native of “Philly,” the land of cheese steaks and the famous Rocky Balboa.  Growing up in a Christian family as a Pastor's kid I was introduced to and committed my life to Jesus at a very young age.  It was the influence of an amazing church family and the role of consistent, loving, caring youth leaders in our church that really impacted me and helped me grow in my faith as a follower of Jesus Christ.  In high school I sensed God calling me to youth ministry and so I went to Cairn University to study Bible and Youth Ministry.  It was also in high school that I met my wife, Tina, while attending the same youth group.  We are blessed to have four daughters:  Corinne, Ainsley, Morgan, and Penny.  I graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2013 with my Master's of Divinity and served as the minister to Youth and Families for the last six years in southern California before pursing God’s calling to Grand Junction.  I am passionate about Jesus, youth ministry, bbq-ing and smoking large hunks of meat, mountains and running in them, and good strong coffee.  I love the Church and as I pursue God’s calling on my life, my desire is to disciple students to know God, to grow in Him, and to show His love to others through word and action.
