Here’s what you can expect at our worship services:
-The sermon is the same at all three services
-Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of the
month
8 am – SIMPLY TRADITIONAL
This new service is intentionally reflective with
space for silence and contemplation. It has an informal but
reverent feel and utilizes traditional and recent hymns – played on
the organ or piano. There is no offering taken during the service
but plates are located at the back of the Sanctuary. The service
usually lasts 45-50 minutes.
9:15 am – CONTEMPORARY
This service is more informal than our other two, but
still retains some traditional elements – Time for Confession and
the Lord’s Prayer. Music is led by our adult or youth praise bands
with guitars, keyboard, and drums. There is often special music
during the offering. The service usually lasts 65-75 minutes.
11 am -- TRADITIONAL
This service, although not tied to tradition, offers
more experiences and responses tied to historic worship. We sing
traditional and contemporary hymns with organ or piano
accompaniment. During the school year, our sanctuary choir inspires
us with special anthems. There is often special music during the
offering. The service usually lasts 60-65 minutes.
Our 9:15 and 11 am services (and occasionally our 8
am) also utilize a projection screen which allows us to be more
visual and multi-sensory. Prayers and lyrics appear on the screen,
as do illustrations, quotes and biblical passages. We also seek to
incorporate drama, dance, color, and visual symbols when
appropriate.
