Sarah Tunall, Administrative Ministry Assistant
 

My name is Sarah Tunall and I am serving as the Administrative Ministry Assistant.   I moved temporarily permanently to Grand Junction in June, 2009 after graduating from Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington with a degree in Speech Communications and a minor in Theology.  

During the summer of 2008 I served as a Summer Intern for the Youth Ministry here at First Pres.  That summer I found a church family that cared for each other and lived out their mission of following Christ and sharing His word.  It was such an amazing summer that I decided to return as an Intern for the 2009 summer!   My plan was to go to Wesley Theological Seminary that fall, however, God had a different plan in mind.  Throughout the 2009 summer I felt a nudging by God to stay in Grand Junction for a bit, and not go to seminary right away.  This call to stay at First Presbyterian Church has opened up an opportunity to be part of this amazing community.

As the Administrative Ministry Assistant, I am excited to dapple in the different areas of ministry and to gain experience in the “administrative side” of ministry.  Also, I am passionate about people of all ages, and love to hear what God is doing in the lives of all His children.  The opportunity to serve at First Pres as a staff member and volunteer in the Youth Ministry has allowed me to develop relationships with the larger church body, and I am excited to continue to share life with the people of the church.
