Sally Henry

Hi there! I have worked at First Presbyterian since June, 2002, and I love
it! I have been a member here since the early 1990’s with my husband, Kim,
and now grown and married children, Sarah and Sean. We have seen First
Presbyterian go through many growth spurts, and times of change, and it’s
exciting and encouraging to be a part of a church family who is truly
discovering God’s purposes and carrying them out – both individually and as
the body of Christ.
This fall (2007) my title was changed from Director of Christian Education
and Outreach to Director of Connecting Ministries. With this new title I
will be focusing on getting people “connected” - in small groups, and in
ministry both inside and outside the church walls. Our goal is to help
people who come through our doors “connect in ways that lead to deeper
relationships;” “recognize their God-given gifts and equip them to serve
passionately;” and “reach out beyond our walls, proclaim the Good News of
Jesus, and respond to the needs of others.” (See our Vision Statement.)
This church is a great place to grow in your faith, have opportunities to
live out that faith in ministry and mission, and be surrounded by caring
groups of people who both encourage and stretch you in your walk. I feel
blessed to be a part of this church family.
The staff is a team who not only do their own areas of ministry well, but
come alongside one another and encourage and support all the ministries of
the church.
If you’re looking for a place where you can learn more about the God of the
universe and understand His infinite love for you – along with a bunch of
other people striving to do the same, then First Presbyterian is the place
for you! We like to have fun, get kinda goofy at times, and not take
ourselves too darn seriously! Come and join us! It’s a great adventure… |
