Dear Church Family,

It's just about time to leave on Saturday morning and I'm incredibly excited for our team to head out and serve others in the name of Christ. I know that God has some transforming work planned for each and every one of us. Our team ranges from 14 to 70 years old. We have fathers and sons, fathers and daughters, a few siblings, a grandpa and his two grandsons, and an entire family (the Beggs) on the team. Please pray for us on a daily basis and look for messages and pictures throughout the week. Four specific prayer requests come to mind: 1) that we would have our eyes, ears and hearts open to the activity of the Holy Spirit and gladly join in and 2) that God would help us connect deeply with the family we are building for and the neighborhood we will serve and 3) that we would be safe, healthy and take good care of each other and 4) that our group will grow close to each other in a way that we have yet to experience.

By the time you read this we will have traveled 14 hours in four vehicles, stayed the night at Pt. Loma Nazarene University, packed up some new vehicles, crossed the border and set up camp. If you read this Monday we will already be working on a 22' x 22' concrete slab. Join us via the website and in your prayers all week long as we share the love ("AMOR") of Jesus Christ.
