I grew up in Southern California in a little town and little church until heading off to college, where I heard God's call to ministry. I discovered and began a personal relationship with Christ at Forest Home Christian Conference Center, and was nurtured in my faith by some wonderful people. Forest Home is also where I met my wife, Shelly, while we were on high school staff together. We have been married for 28 years and have four children - college age and above - and recently added a daughter-in-law, with a son-in-law on the way. We have kept busy over the years attending numerous soccer, basketball and baseball games, doing life with some others, and -more recently- climbing 14'ers in Colorado (and competing against each other). I received my Masters of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1991, and was a pastor in Lewiston, Idaho for fourteen years before coming to Grand Junction in 2005. I love seeing the church and its people discover the reality of Jesus, live into our God-given identities, and come alive for the sake of others.
